The building

is a copy of Zsámbék premontre monastery: Ferenc Wihart master builder built the XIII. district "pearl" based on this. The church built on more than 900 square meters is situated in the southern corner of "Angyalföld", at the Lehel Market Hall and welcomes car drivers leaving the Ferdinand-bridge.

The church was built

in 1933, the neo-Romanesque facade, the portal and rose-window, the thick walls and rectangular towers all reminds us the Romanesque church medieval atmosphere. The church was decorated with wall paintings of Henrik Heintz and statues of György Nemes.

It survived World War II with minor destruction, the damage was restored thanks to believers' money.

In 1975, a new liturgical space was created on the basis of the Gyula Bárdos plans, the roof, lead windows, the interior painting were restored between 1988 and 1994.
