The 83 meters magnificient building
It was built according to the plans of Ödön Leichner and combines Renaissance, Baroque, Islamic and Hungarian folk-style elements. 500 kinds of bricks, glazed tiles, pyrogranite elements and mosaics were used in its construction. |

In 1991regained its listed historical building status and today the church has been classified as an internationally protected building and listed in the UNESCO World Heritage tentative list. |
